About the role#
We are looking for a Petroleum Engineer Intern to join the Well Construction department in our Dallas office. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on well construction projects for our Bakken assets. Housing is provided if needed.
What you'll do#
- Design and support the operational execution of new well drilling projects.
- Prepare detailed reports on drilling activities, covering daily progress and equipment performance.
- Participate in field visits to drilling sites to gain hands-on experience.
- Use industry-specific software for modeling and simulation of drilling operations.
- Help develop objectives and capital and expense budgets.
- Gather and analyze data from drilling operations to identify trends and areas for improvement.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in petroleum engineering or chemical engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and technical staff.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- You are self-motivated, proactive, and safety-conscious.
