About the role#
This internship provides students with professional experience in the electrical and electronics manufacturing sector. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 focusing on P&C Design within our engineering team. The program is designed to help you build technical skills and prepare for a career in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Develop a complete set of electrical substation design drawings for a simulated utility project.
- Modify existing drawings and apply customer-specific standards.
- Create brownfield substation design updates.
- Produce drafting deliverables from marked-up PDFs.
- Present your work to the local management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
- The internship is a full-time, paid role for Summer 2027.
