About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain corporate experience within the Hubbell engineering team. You will focus on station engineering design projects while learning the fundamentals of physical design, engineering calculations, and system modeling. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support station engineering design projects.
- Perform calculations using Excel, Bluebeam, and WinIGS.
- Develop and review drawings while following engineering quality processes.
- Mark up, submit, and back-check design documents.
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks.
- Assist with process improvement and provide support to co-workers.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Deliver a presentation to the local management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software and systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid position, ranging from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour based on academic standing.
