About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at HPR, you will work on high-performance computing and electronic trading infrastructure. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will be actively engaged with the team and make meaningful contributions to our projects daily.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and debug C applications for multi-core Linux systems.
- Process large volumes of high-throughput, low-latency network data.
- Utilize your technical skills to expand your knowledge of various coding languages.
- Work collaboratively within a technical team environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Successful completion of coursework in Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure and Assembly-Language, Performance Engineering, or Networks and Protocols.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstrated ability to read and write C code.
- Relevant programming experience from academic projects or previous internships, including familiarity with Python or Java.
- Familiarity with the Linux Bash or Shell environment.
- Interest in low-level technologies and network socket programming, including TCP.
