About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at HPR, you will advance state-of-the-art, high-performance computing and electronic trading infrastructure. You will work directly with our engineering team on active projects, making meaningful contributions to our systems daily.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and debug C applications for multi-core Linux systems.
- Process large volumes of high-throughput, low-latency network data.
- Collaborate with team members in a technical environment.
- Expand your technical skills and knowledge of various coding languages.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Sophomore standing or higher).
- Demonstrated ability to read and write C code.
- Successful completion of coursework in Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Machine Structure and Assembly-Language, Performance Engineering, or Networks and Protocols.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Relevant programming experience gained through internships or academic projects.
- Familiarity with the Linux Bash/Shell environment and experience developing in Python or Java.
- A strong interest in low-level technologies, network socket programming, and TCP.
