About the role#
As an FPGA Engineering Intern at HPR, you will contribute to high-performance computing and electronic trading systems. You will work alongside mentors to solve real-world problems and gain experience within a professional environment. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Own a project through the entire FPGA development life cycle.
- Develop tools to automate RTL and testbench generation.
- Collaborate with mentors to address technical challenges.
- Apply your academic background to advance electronic trading infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least sophomore standing.
- Successful completion or current enrollment in relevant coursework such as Digital Logic Design, Computer Organization, or Embedded Systems.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Internship or academic experience writing Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
- Familiarity with the Linux environment.
- Proficiency in a scripting or high-level software language such as Python or Perl.
- Experience working with FPGAs and FPGA tools like Vivado or Quartus is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Compensation: $42.00 per hour.
