About the role#
The Surgical Technologist Extern is a temporary position designed to help students transition into their professional careers. You will work in the surgery department at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. This is a part-time, PRN position.
What you'll do#
- Provide clinical services for the perioperative care of surgical patients.
- Customize care based on the specific needs of each patient, the surgical procedure, and surgeon preferences.
- Work under the direct supervision of Surgical Technologists and RNs.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a recognized surgical technology program.
- A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
