About the role#
This Nurse Extern I position provides hands-on patient care experience for students currently in nursing school or recent graduates. You will work within the Telemetry department at St. Elizabeth's Hospital to build clinical skills and prepare for your future career in nursing.
What you'll do#
- Care for patients of all ages.
- Ensure patient care meets individual needs and follows established standards of practice.
- Work alongside healthcare teams to support patient outcomes.
- Gain practical experience to enhance your clinical abilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited ADN, BSN, or MSN nursing program, or graduation from one of these programs within the last year.
- Successful completion of at least one clinical rotation.
- Successful completion of at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation.
- A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Location & details#
- Location: O'Fallon, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: PRN, part-time, or full-time options available, including days, nights, or rotating shifts.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $25.20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Sponsorship: This role does not provide employment visa sponsorship.
