About the role#
As a Nurse Extern I at St. Joseph's Hospital, you will gain hands-on experience in patient care while finishing your nursing education. This role helps you build clinical skills and work alongside healthcare teams to prepare for your professional career as a nurse.
What you'll do#
- Provide care for patients of all ages.
- Ensure all care meets individual patient needs and follows established standards of practice.
- Collaborate directly with healthcare teams in the Medical-Surgical department.
- Develop your clinical abilities through practical, daily experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited ADN, BSN, or MSN program, or graduation from one of these programs within the last year.
- Successful completion of at least one clinical rotation.
- Successful completion of at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work without employment visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Highland, Illinois.
- Employment type: Part time.
- Schedule: PRN, part time, or full time, with options for days, nights, or rotating shifts.
- Pay range: $18.00 to $25.20 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
