About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside full-time engineers to manage projects and provide technical advice on facility performance. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for improvement by performing ergonomic job surveys and analyzing operations.
- Review current processes to identify better work methods.
- Create AutoCAD layouts and analyze plant operations.
- Evaluate downtimes to find ways to increase efficiency.
- Recommend, evaluate, and install new equipment and layouts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology.
- Graduation date of August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
- Ability to use a personal motor vehicle for transportation to and from the workplace.

- This position is on-site. You must be open to relocation.
- Locations include Austin, MN; Faribault, MN; Osceola, IA; Rochelle, IL; Dubuque, IA; McCook, IL; Barron, WI; and Suffolk, VA.
