About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in food manufacturing by shadowing full-time Quality and Process Control Supervisors. You will support management in the implementation of food safety and quality processes while gaining insight into daily operations at a production facility.
What you'll do#
- Consult with management regarding food safety or quality issues.
- Implement HACCP programs and oversee sanitation procedures.
- Collect and analyze data for new or modified product lines.
- Train and manage quality auditors.
- Conduct quality system testing and evaluations using statistical analysis.
- Design and evaluate quality specifications and auditing programs.
- Assist with computer inventory, lab management, and data collection.
What you'll need#
- Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028.
- Major in Food Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Business, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be open to relocation.
- Ability to work on-site at assigned production facilities.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Access to a personal motor vehicle for transportation to and from the workplace.
