About the role#
The E-Commerce Intern supports digital commerce initiatives at Hormel Foods. You will assist with online retail execution, digital content management, sales analytics, and marketplace optimization. This role provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to drive online growth and gain exposure to e-commerce strategy and consumer insights.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the execution of e-commerce strategies across key online retail and marketplace partners.
- Support product content management, including product descriptions, images, specifications, and digital shelf audits.
- Analyze online sales, traffic, and assortment data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Monitor product availability, pricing, ratings, reviews, and competitive activity across platforms.
- Develop reports and presentations that summarize key business insights and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Brand Management, Category Management, and Analytics teams.
- Assist with promotional planning and digital merchandising activities.
- Participate in consumer and market research projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve online consumer experiences and conversion rates.
- Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
- Must graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Demonstrated interest in e-commerce, digital marketing, retail, or consumer packaged goods.
- Experience with data visualization, analytics tools, or digital platforms is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer and not require visa sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Austin, Minnesota.
- The program runs during Summer 2027.
- This position is paid.
