About the role#
HomeSmiles is looking for a Marketing Intern to manage social media content production for our Charleston metro operations. You will take ownership of our digital presence, turning raw job-site footage into consistent video content. This role is a fit for a student or recent graduate in marketing or communications who wants hands-on experience and direct collaboration with the business owner. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Edit raw job-site footage into 3 to 5 short-form videos each week for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
- Launch and build a new TikTok account from the ground up.
- Write captions, schedule posts, and engage with followers across all platforms.
- Support Google Local Services Ads by monitoring leads, requesting customer reviews, and reporting on weekly performance.
- Create supporting graphics in Canva.
- Occasionally visit active job sites in the Charleston area to capture original footage.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated experience editing short-form video in CapCut (portfolio required).
- Active, knowledgeable use of TikTok and Instagram with an understanding of current trends.
- Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude for content drafting.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Basic Canva skills.
- A self-directed work style and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- A reliable laptop, internet access, and personal transportation.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
- You must be local to the Charleston area.
- You are required to meet at our Mount Pleasant office once per week.
- The position offers hybrid and remote work flexibility.
