    About the role#

    As a Development Intern at HME, you will work on software improvements for an intercom product. You will join an Agile team to help advance your assigned project and contribute to the development process. This role involves working in both Windows and Linux environments.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with your team to break down work into specific tasks.
    • Write and validate unit and integration tests.
    • Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
    • Fix bugs and update functional specifications as needed.
    • Write scripts and create tools to support development.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
    • Knowledge of programming languages including TypeScript, C, C++, and C# (.NET).
    • Experience with technologies like Docker, Windows, Linux, and Git.
    • Interest in web technologies (TypeScript, Angular.js, Angular) or embedded systems (C, C++).
    • Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python are an asset.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in English.
    • Attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, Canada.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid. We suggest being in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays, though we offer flexibility.
    • Employment: This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
