About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity for the Summer 2027 term, running from May 2027 through August 2027. You will work on-site at our facility in Greenville, South Carolina, supporting our team in the design, build, and deployment of custom automated equipment.
What you'll do#
- Create detail drawing packages for Mechanical Engineers.
- Solve practical problems that do not have standard solutions.
- Develop conceptual designs for sales, quoting, and customers.
- Complete machine layouts and detail every component.
- Update CAD models using redline drawings after machines are built.
- Check drawing packages created by your peers.
- Work with vendors to size and quote purchased items.
- Manage mechanical bills of material and stock sizes.
- Create DXF files for internal and external machining or burnouts.
- Present information effectively to groups of employees or customers.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience reviewing and understanding technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Pro Engineer is preferred.
