About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship based at our production site in Hilmar, California. You will work on projects alongside our employees to gain professional experience in food and beverage manufacturing. Interns participate in dairy visits, community projects, and sessions with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Improve a specific process, product line, or function within our cheese or whey plants.
- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs for specific products.
- Find causes of waste in manufacturing processes and suggest ways to eliminate them.
- Develop standard work processes to help sustain these improvements.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your sophomore year at a college or university.
- Progress toward a degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, Food Science, Dairy Science, or Ag Management/Science.
- Basic skills in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and strong applied technical abilities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
