About the role#
This internship provides students the chance to explore career paths within an insurance brokerage. You will work with team members on commercial lines, gain insight into business operations, and contribute to client service initiatives. Interns will travel to the corporate office in Richmond, VA to connect with other interns, network with leaders, and participate in a volunteer event. This position may lead to full-time employment after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Rotate between Personal Lines and Commercial Lines departments to gain exposure to coverage types.
- Support the account management team with policy documentation, renewals, endorsements, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and quality checks in the agency management system.
- Participate in client appointments and sales meetings to observe best practices.
- Contribute to special projects that improve internal processes, client experience, or operational efficiency.
- Build communication skills through daily interactions with internal stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Ability to commute to the Tampa, FL office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A curious and motivated mindset with a desire to learn about the insurance industry.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
