About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our insurance brokerage. You will work alongside our team to gain insight into business operations and contribute to client service initiatives. The role includes a visit to our corporate office in Richmond, VA, to network with company leaders and other interns. This position may lead to full-time employment after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Rotate between Personal Lines and Commercial Lines departments to learn about different coverage areas.
- Support the account management team with policy documentation, renewals, endorsements, and general administrative tasks.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and quality checks in the agency management system.
- Join client appointments and sales meetings with producers to observe industry best practices.
- Work on projects focused on improving internal processes, operational efficiency, and the client experience.
- Develop professional communication skills by interacting with internal stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Ability to commute to our Orlando, FL office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A curious and motivated mindset with an interest in the insurance industry.
