About the role#
Hilb Group is hiring an Accounting Intern to support our finance team. This is a part-time, remote position. You will work on various cleanup projects and help organize accounting records to improve internal consistency. This role is ideal for students looking to gain practical experience in a professional insurance environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with AMS360 suspended billing cleanup and Comulate aged-item cleanup.
- Review and organize accounting backlogs to establish better workflows.
- Support a LastPass login assessment to help maintain accurate system access.
- Clean up and streamline SharePoint files to improve the accessibility of resources.
- Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
- Track progress on cleanup projects and identify items requiring follow-up.
- Document processes and procedures to support consistent operations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and spot inconsistencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- No prior accounting or insurance experience is required.
