About the role#
We are looking for a Computer or Electrical Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will gain hands-on experience with our custom hardware and software products while working alongside our engineering team in Syracuse. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Support the design team by performing design verification testing of next generation prototype hardware.
- Enhance software used to characterize and calibrate custom hardware components and complex sensor systems.
- Work in a lab environment using digital scopes, signal generators, network analyzers, and temperature chambers.
- Interface with lab equipment to automate testing.
- Analyze data collection results and provide recommendations to the design team.
- Support sensor integration and design verification activities.
- Participate in field test events centered on drone target detection and tracking performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of your Sophomore year by Summer 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 3.4.
- A recent transcript included with your application.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or VHDL.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities.
- U.S. citizenship is required to meet security clearance standards.
