About the role#
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to join us for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management projects. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Syracuse, New York.
What you'll do#
- Write software components across the full stack using Python, Flask, AWS, and SQL.
- Work with cross-functional teams to architect solutions and implement new features.
- Improve our enterprise tools and customer-facing products while ensuring secure data synchronization.
- Participate in design and code reviews with the team.
- Document your designs and communicate them to peers.
- Test your code to ensure everything runs as expected.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year by Summer 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 3.4.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Linux development.
- Understanding of SQL database design, including Postgres or MySQL.
- Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP, and TLS.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambdas is helpful.
- Proficiency or a willingness to learn C++.
- Interest in distributed sensor networks.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of our technology.

- Compensation: $23 to $26 per hour.
