About the role#
This internship offers a mix of hands-on operational work and professional development at Hersheypark. You will join the team as a staff member while participating in a structured program designed to build your leadership skills. Interns live together and interact with professionals across the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts organization.
What you'll do#
- Work directly in an operational department, such as Rides and Attractions, Lifeguarding, or Food and Beverage.
- Attend weekly professional development sessions, including workshops and the CliftonStrengths Assessment.
- Complete required classroom training to earn a Certificate of Completion.
- Work up to 5 closing shifts per week, averaging up to 40 hours total.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old when the program starts.
- You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited university. Students from all majors may apply.
- A friendly, upbeat, and enthusiastic attitude.
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- You must follow Hersheypark appearance standards.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
- The internship runs during the Summer 2027 term. Participants using company housing are expected to be available from May 15, 2027, through August 7, 2027.
- This is a paid internship with hourly rates ranging from $12 to $15.
- Company housing is available for a fee. Students living more than 50 miles away must use this housing.
- If you do not use company housing, you must have reliable transportation to work and training sessions.
- Work schedules are fixed by the program and include shifts between Thursday and Tuesday. You cannot adjust these base schedules.
