About the role#
As a Compliance Engineering Intern, you will bridge the gap between regulatory standards and product design. You will identify and interpret requirements, design and execute validation tests, and ensure our products meet certifications for global markets. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Research and apply compliance requirements from IEEE, IEC, ISO, NERC, and FERC.
- Work with engineering leads to embed compliance into product architecture and design.
- Develop and execute compliance test plans, including building necessary test infrastructure.
- Debug failures and collaborate with design teams to implement solutions.
- Contribute to white papers and participate in regional codes and standards activities.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, power systems, and power electronics.
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Python, LabVIEW, or embedded scripting for power hardware validation.
- Experience designing and operating test equipment like oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and data loggers.
- Ability to interpret complex requirements and convert them into specific test specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to stay proactive and positive while managing assignments under pressure.
