About the role#
The Safety Assistant Intern works directly with the Safety Manager on construction projects. You will help maintain a safe working environment for field crews and support the company safety culture. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Monitor jobsite safety and encourage accident prevention.
- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to understand regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site audits and support the incident investigation process.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Assist with new hire orientations and help identify training needs.
- Deliver safety-related training and ensure all documentation is submitted.
- Support site management with daily operations and medical case management.
- Review safety reports to identify trends and suggest protocol adjustments.
- Evaluate the performance of operational personnel regarding safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Safety or Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and minimal supervision.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications are preferred.

- This position is based on-site in either Atlanta, Georgia, or Manassas, Virginia.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
