    About the role#

    The Cat Clinic of Iowa City offers an externship program for students currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technician school. This program provides hands-on support and experience in a feline-exclusive, full-service veterinary environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist veterinarians during medical procedures.
    • Monitor and care for the well-being of feline patients.
    • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
    • Communicate care instructions and information to clients.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited Veterinary Technician school.
    • Foundational pet care skills and basic medical knowledge.
    • Ability to work with cats in a responsive and compassionate manner.
    • Strong communication skills.

    • Location: Iowa City, Iowa.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Full-time.
    • Term: Rolling (length and requirements are dependent on university guidelines).
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid externship.
