About the role#
The Cat Clinic of Iowa City offers an externship program for students currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technician school. This program provides hands-on support and experience in a feline-exclusive, full-service veterinary environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist veterinarians during medical procedures.
- Monitor and care for the well-being of feline patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate care instructions and information to clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Veterinary Technician school.
- Foundational pet care skills and basic medical knowledge.
- Ability to work with cats in a responsive and compassionate manner.
- Strong communication skills.

- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Term: Rolling (length and requirements are dependent on university guidelines).
- Compensation: This is an unpaid externship.
