About the role#
Heartland ABA is hiring a part-time Behavior Technician in Americus, Kansas. This role is a fit for students or those interested in fields like psychology, nursing, sociology, human resources, or health administration. You will receive paid training and work directly with children with Autism to help them build skills and reach their potential. This position requires a minimum 6 month commitment.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one ABA services to clients.
- Use evidence-based interventions to support independence and positive behavior.
- Implement skill building and care plans as part of our clinical team.
- Record session data accurately on electronic devices.
- Create a positive learning environment for clients.
- Connect and collaborate with families and other providers to improve treatment effectiveness.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician course.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to stay calm during challenging situations.
- A reliable method of transportation.
- A desire to help children with Autism.
