About the role#
HDR is hiring Water/Wastewater Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based in Brentwood, Tennessee. You will work alongside engineers and project managers to support infrastructure projects that impact local communities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and site development projects.
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
- Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase support activities.
- Assist with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, data analysis, and water resources studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically in Civil Engineering or Biosystems.
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, MATLAB, or Python.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
