About the role#
As a Value Engineering and Project Risk Management Intern, you will gain practical experience working on projects within the Highway and Road department. You will work under the direct supervision of a Project Manager or professional engineer, applying standard engineering procedures to your daily tasks. This role involves collaborating with multidiscipline teams including architects, cost estimators, and various stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for and coordinate value engineering and risk analysis workshops.
- Collect and generate project information during workshops.
- Edit technical deliverables, such as reports and presentations.
- Participate in client-attended workshops.
- Coordinate between different technical disciplines.
- Connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring and young professionals programs.
- Travel as needed to attend workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- At least two years of degree progress and a 3.0 or higher GPA are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
- A commitment to participating in an employee-owned culture.
