About the role#
As a User Experience Designer Intern, you will work within our Corporate/Support Services team in Omaha. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. You will contribute to our employee-owned culture and work directly with designers, developers, and business stakeholders to build digital experiences.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams to create intuitive digital experiences.
- Assist in the production of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Take part in user research and usability testing to identify user needs and design improvements.
- Apply accessibility standards and design systems to ensure consistency.
- Use research insights and feedback to refine your work and present design decisions to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Pursuit of a degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools like Figma.
- Strong visual design, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of user-centered design, usability, and accessibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- A portfolio or examples of design work are welcome.
