About the role#
HDR is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Transportation Business Group in El Paso, Texas, to gain real-world experience. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers the chance to work on infrastructure projects under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Participate in project work to gain professional experience.
- Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and professional development programs.
- Perform various duties as assigned by project leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, with a preference for Civil Engineering students.
- At least two years of degree progress completed and a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Basic knowledge of CADD, with Open Roads Designer experience considered a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with attention to detail.
- A commitment to participating in an employee-owned culture.
