About the role#
As a Transportation Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on transportation projects. You will work under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager to apply standard engineering techniques. This role is based in Denver and is a paid, full-time summer position for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare plans and specifications for projects of various sizes using local, state, and federal standards.
- Perform engineering assignments under professional supervision.
- Engage with company leaders and recent graduates through mentorship programs.
- Complete other duties as needed to support the project team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry-related software.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- Preferred: At least two years toward your degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Preferred: A focus on transportation, such as roadway, bridge, aviation, transit, hydraulics, or traffic design.
