About the role#
HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Intern to join the Power team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role supports our engineering staff in delivering power infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help shape how electricity is transmitted and delivered.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks of varying complexity as assigned by project leads or managers.
- Follow project direction and guidance.
- Assist engineers in the preparation of design packages.
- Perform simple calculations to support project needs.
- Attend internal meetings to stay informed on project progress.
- Participate in field reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to students who have completed at least two years of their degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software relevant to the industry is preferred.
- Completed coursework in Power or Energy is a plus.
