About the role#
HDR is seeking a Traffic Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This internship takes place within our Transportation Business Group in Dallas, Texas. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience by supporting various traffic engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Complete assignments under the direct supervision of a Project Manager or professional engineer.
- Participate in real-world project work.
- Connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring and young professionals programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- A commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to local or regional candidates pursuing a Master's degree in Transportation or Traffic Engineering with at least two years of coursework completed and a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software related to the industry is preferred.
