About the role#
As a Substation Intern, you will join our Power sector to work on projects related to electricity generation, transmission, and delivery. You will work alongside experienced engineers to help build and modernize power systems. This role is based in Chicago and operates on an on-site, full-time basis.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world experience on projects.
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
- Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of software packages related to the industry.
- A commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to candidates with at least 2 years of their degree completed and a 3.0+ GPA.
- Local candidates are preferred.
