About the role#
As a Substation Engineering Intern, you will work with our substation, distribution, and transmission line design team. You will assist with site visits and various design tasks. You will work on projects with clear objectives and limited variables. You will have the support of Project Engineers, Electrical EITs, or Technicians and Drafters as you complete your tasks.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world experience on projects.
- Connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring and young professionals programs.
- Assist the design team with site visits and design tasks.
- Work on a variety of projects with guidance from experienced staff.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to students who have completed 3 years toward a degree at an ABET accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software related to your field of study.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
