About the role#
As a Substation Engineering Intern, you will work within our Power sector to support projects related to electricity generation, transmission, and delivery. You will work alongside experienced engineers to help build reliable and sustainable power systems. This position offers the opportunity to gain professional experience while engaging with our company culture.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Project Manager or professional engineer.
- Connect with recent graduates and company leaders through our young professionals and mentoring programs.
- Gain experience on project work and perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to students with at least 2 years of coursework completed in electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil engineering with a 3.0+ GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located in Billings, MT.
- You must be able to report to the office in Billings, MT. Local candidates are preferred.
- The internship term is on a rolling basis.
