About the role#
As a Substation Electrical Engineering Intern, you will focus on the physical design of electrical substations. You will work under the direct supervision of a Project Lead or Project Manager to contribute to real-world power infrastructure projects. This position is based in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify substation physical drawings, including markups.
- Perform AC and DC system calculations based on current and future load requirements.
- Assist with the specification and procurement of major equipment.
- Apply standard engineering tools and procedures to project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- At least two years of degree progress completed with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of software packages related to the field of study.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
