About the role#
As a Substation Electrical Engineering Intern, you will focus on Protection and Controls (P&C) engineering within substation design. You will work under the direct supervision of a professional engineer or Project Manager to contribute to power system projects. This position offers an opportunity to gain real-world experience and connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring programs.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify substation wiring diagrams and control schematics based on project scope.
- Complete AC and DC system calculations using current and future load data.
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to your assignments.
- Participate in the employee-owned culture of the company.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- At least two years completed toward your degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.
- The work modality is on-site.
- This role has a rolling term.
