    About the role#

    As a Substation Electrical Engineering Intern, you will focus on Protection and Controls (P&C) engineering within substation design. You will work under the direct supervision of a professional engineer or Project Manager to contribute to power system projects. This position offers an opportunity to gain real-world experience and connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring programs.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and modify substation wiring diagrams and control schematics based on project scope.
    • Complete AC and DC system calculations using current and future load data.
    • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to your assignments.
    • Participate in the employee-owned culture of the company.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically Electrical or Computer Engineering.
    • At least two years completed toward your degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
    • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Attention to detail.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship located in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.
    • The work modality is on-site.
    • This role has a rolling term.
