About the role#
This internship offers real-world experience on projects within our Bridges department. You will work under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager to apply standard engineering techniques and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to connect with recent graduates and company leaders through our mentoring and young professionals programs.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Assist with assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
- Participate in mentoring and young professionals programs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering or structural engineering program.
- Completion of coursework in either Steel or Concrete Design.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with an attention to detail.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed at least 2 years of their degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
- Strong preference is given to local candidates.
