    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You will work on-site with the Transportation Business Group, focusing on movable bridge projects. This role involves contributing to the planning, design, and rehabilitation of infrastructure while working alongside multidisciplinary teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist engineering teams with the planning, analysis, design, and rehabilitation of movable bridge structures.
    • Support the preparation of engineering calculations, reports, plans, and technical documents.
    • Participate in bridge inspections, site visits, and field assessments.
    • Work with engineers to evaluate structural and mechanical bridge components.
    • Use industry-standard engineering software and design tools.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation infrastructure projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program, specifically Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
    • Preference is given to local candidates and those who have completed at least two years of their degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to your field of study.
