About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on building projects. You will work under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager to apply standard engineering techniques. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and other engineering professionals, to support the planning, design, and delivery of projects. You will also have the opportunity to connect with company leaders and recent graduates through mentoring and young professionals programs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of drawings, models, renderings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site visits.
- Conduct research on building systems, codes, sustainability initiatives, and emerging technologies.
- Utilize industry-standard software and digital tools to support project development.
- Perform other duties as needed to support project teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference for candidates who have completed at least 2 years of their degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry-related software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or SketchUp.
