About the role#
We are looking for a Design Co-op student to join our Ottawa office for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside our Lead Architect and the broader team on projects across the Healthcare, Post-Secondary Education, Science and Technology, and Civic sectors. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with schematic design, design development, and contract documents.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, details, sections, and schedules.
- Create 3D views, renderings, and VR walkthroughs.
- Apply architectural procedures and techniques to project tasks.
- Perform architectural assignments independently under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support contract administration duties.
- Attend site visits and client meetings, ensuring all conversations are documented.
- Participate in design exercises and general team discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Architecture program.
- At least one year of your degree completed with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Proficiency in software packages relevant to the architecture industry.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A commitment to being an active, organized participant in our employee-owned culture.
