About the role#
HDR is seeking a motivated student to join the Toronto design team for the Winter 2027 semester. You will work on projects across sectors including transit, healthcare, education, and science. This position offers mentorship from experts in mass timber, sustainability, and computational design while supporting your internship goals.
What you'll do#
- Produce design and construction drawings.
- Create diagrams, renderings, and walkthroughs.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
- Work with large teams and independently under the guidance of senior staff.
- Attend site visits plus internal and external meetings.
- Participate in office culture and design events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate architecture program.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Software, Rhino, V-Ray, Grasshopper, and SketchUp.
- Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong graphic, rendering, and visual storytelling skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
