About the role#
HDR is seeking a Construction Intern to join our team in Omaha. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. You will work under the direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to gain practical experience in construction administration.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures in both office and project site settings.
- Support project proposal efforts, including procurement and project controls.
- Interpret construction drawings and review construction submittals.
- Accompany staff to observe and review construction activities in the field.
- Connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of coursework completed toward your degree.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of software packages related to your field of study.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
