About the role#
As a Bridge Intern, you will gain real-world experience by working on bridge design and inspection projects. You will work under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer to support our team in Ann Arbor. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform standard bridge engineering and design procedures.
- Develop structural details using specialized software.
- Conduct bridge inspections.
- Perform structural load rating calculations.
- Assist with geometric layout and bridge type studies.
- Produce CADD plans.
- Complete other duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A commitment to participating in our employee-owned culture.
- We prefer candidates who have completed at least 2 years of their degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to the industry.
