About the role#
HDR is hiring a Bridge Design Intern or Co-Op to support our Transportation Business Group. This is a paid, full-time position that offers exposure to professional engineering projects. You will work under the direct supervision of a Project Manager or professional engineer to apply standard procedures and techniques. You will also have the chance to connect with company leaders and recent graduates through our mentoring and young professionals programs.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world experience on bridge projects.
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to your work.
- Complete assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
- Connect with recent graduates and company leaders through internal programs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- A commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
- Preference is given to candidates with at least two years of degree progress and a 3.0+ GPA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages relevant to the industry.
- Local candidates are preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in either Raleigh, North Carolina, or Charlotte, North Carolina.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
