About the role#
Harrison Street Asset Management is seeking a Transactions Intern for a 10-week summer program in Chicago. This role provides support to the Transactions team through financial analysis, cash flow modeling, investment research, and property reviews. Interns will participate in property tours, receive mentorship from executive leadership, and complete individual projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of Investment Committee presentations and investor pitch books.
- Analyze, prepare, and update financial models for potential and existing transactions.
- Analyze economic, demographic, and market information for development areas, including recent trades and leasing data.
- Compile and update databases regarding development opportunities, potential acquisitions, and deal status.
- Assist in the analysis of refinancing and derivative debt instruments.
What you'll need#
- Must be a junior in college to apply.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for concentrations in Real Estate or Finance.
- Core knowledge of finance and accounting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and self-directed work style.
