About the role#
As a Casino Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across various facets of our casino operations. This program is designed to build your understanding of department functions, staff roles, and the inter-relations between different areas of the resort. You will work under the guidance of the Development Program Supervisor to complete training, lead special projects, and cross-train in positions with an emphasis on supervisory responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Engage in hands-on training and acquire proficiency in designated operational areas.
- Observe and assist video gaming device players, providing instruction and help with machine functions.
- Identify and resolve minor machine malfunctions and process jackpot or CMPO transactions.
- Monitor assigned sections for potential cheating methods and handle routine customer complaints.
- Respond to service needs, including change lights, and communicate with guests using radio etiquette.
- Promote Caesars Rewards participation and assist with customer sign-ups.
- Balance your bank at the end of every shift.
- Support customers by moving through assigned areas and addressing dissatisfaction according to our service guarantee.
- Attend meetings, participate in training, and submit weekly performance reports.
- Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, or graduation within the last 6 months.
- A degree path aligned with your area of interest for the internship.
- An official recommendation from your university.
- A GPA of 2.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while also functioning as a team player.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- A neat, professional appearance.
- Successful completion of a prescreening process.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Cherokee, North Carolina.
- You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- The role requires physical mobility, including standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- You will work in an environment with varying noise levels, crowds, and secondhand smoke.
