About the role#
Join Haleon as an Engineering Co-op for a 6-month term starting in January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting manufacturing and engineering projects at our Oak Hill site. This role involves working alongside experienced engineers to solve real-world production challenges. You will contribute to capital investment projects, equipment reliability, and energy efficiency initiatives that directly impact our site operations.
What you'll do#
- Support capital investment projects focused on process and equipment improvements.
- Assist with the development of project proposals, design, and planning phases.
- Lead small engineering or energy efficiency projects under the guidance of mentors.
- Analyze operational data using Excel and Power BI to identify trends and support project decisions.
- Participate in equipment reliability, safety improvement, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors while contributing to project documentation and reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or maintenance projects through coursework or previous experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Oak Hill, New York.
- Term: Winter 2027 (6 months, starting January 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- Compensation: Paid internship with rates based on academic standing ($20.00 to $30.00 per hour).
- Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship. Relocation and housing are the responsibility of the candidate.
