About the role#
The Digital Marketing Intern role at Hachette Book Group supports the Workman Running Press Group imprints. This position provides hands-on experience in the book publishing industry, covering the lifecycle of a book from a marketing perspective. You will work alongside experienced professionals across imprints like Workman, Workman Kids, Artisan, Black Dog & Leventhal, and Workman Calendars.
What you'll do#
- Write copy and build emails for newsletter campaigns.
- Create digital content for paid advertising, including filming and editing video assets, lifestyle photography, and writing video scripts.
- Assist with building online stores for ecommerce promotions.
- Help with monthly digital marketing reporting.
- Attend department meetings to contribute ideas and support title campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Interest in digital marketing, specifically email marketing and paid advertising.
- Experience producing digital content, such as social media graphics or videos.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Capcut, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a busy environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred majors include Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid, with three days on-site and one day remote.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 13, 2026 to December 11, 2026).
- Schedule: 28 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour.
- Status: Paid, part-time internship.
