About the role#
The Summer Associate program provides a comprehensive look at the construction industry. You will be fully embedded with a team on a jobsite or within a department to gain hands-on experience in project management, field management, project development, and business operations. This full-time, 10-12 week program begins in mid-May or early June.
What you'll do#
- Manage project financial and document control while assisting in site logistics.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met on jobsites.
- Contribute to project scheduling, critical thinking, and site operations.
- Develop winning strategies and build client relationships through budgeting, estimating, and purchasing.
- Participate in formal training sessions, jobsite tours, and social events to build your professional network.
- Define professional objectives with a manager and monitor your achievements throughout the season.
- Complete a Capstone Project and share your progress through a final presentation.
- Complete the Passport Experience to gain a broader understanding of the business.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Punctuality, dedication, and a willingness to take initiative on new tasks.
- Accountability, responsiveness, and a focus on bringing solutions to problems.
- Visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures and policies.

- Location: Seattle, Washington.

- Compensation: $25 - $31 per hour.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Note: This role requires a pre-employment drug screening and participation in random drug testing.
